We plan on placing a Malaise trap on site to passively collect insects for a week at a time, leaving it inactive for the other three weeks of the month that it stands erect for the summer (through June 30th at least). On days that we affix or retrieve the sample bottle from the reserve we will also actively collect insects via sweep or drag net.
