Visit to collect preliminary data needed to plan new experiment looking at the impact of dead coral skeletons on the growth and survivorship of macroalgae. During this visit I will be working with Russ Schmitt and Sally Holbrook to select possible locations, for the new experiment planned for the summer of 2025, conduct preliminary feeding assays using a variety of macroalgal species, and collect video of reef herbivores feeding on macroalgae
