We will participate in community outreach, go to submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) sites and measure environmental variables such as temperature, salinity, pH and alkalinity. We will survey the macroalgae and other reef bottom organisms at SGD sites and moving away from these features. We will collect water, chlorophyll (plankton), sediment, algae and coral samples (east and west shore only for corals). We will search for and map previously uncharacterized SGD sites.
