Tetiaroa Society Ecostation

28 Jul, 12 PM - 25 Aug, 01 PM

The purpose of this visit is to carry out a coastal monitoring mission in collaboration with Tetiaroa Society FP. The main goals are to: - Replace and reinstall non-operational monitoring equipment (GNSS station and tide gauge) for accurate georeferencing and water level recording; - Conduct drone-based aerial surveys to update topographic maps of selected motus; - Map sea turtle nesting areas to assess potential environmental risks (e.g. erosion, high slopes, sea level rise); - Provide technical assistance and training to local staff for the use and maintenance of installed systems. The project aims to support long-term environmental monitoring and coastal resilience planning on Tetiaroa Atoll.
