I plan to lead a group from the Santa Barbara Newcomers Club on a tour of Coal Oil Point Natural Reserve. I plan to take them on the 2-mile loop from Sands Beach around lower Devereaux Slough and back to the start. As a COPR docent, the tour would be similar to what I do for the Saturday tours there. The participants are new to the area and it is a good way to introduce them to this outstanding natural area and the conservation work being done there. As ofr May 18, I've revised the group size down to 10 people, per communication with Cris Sandoval.
