We will do a walking tour of the reserve, entering through the gate by San Diego Creek. Students will set up transect in the duck ponds and collect soil samples associated with different vegetation types. Detailed description of environmental manipulations This course is designed to be project-based. Students will work on a quarter-long project, collecting eDNA samples from a local ecosystem and analyzing the metabarcoding data to identify the species present.
