To monitor and inventory bats on Santa Cruz Island with particular attention to pallid bats and red bats. The research will include counting bats exiting building roosts; mist netting bats primarily along the stream to Prisoner's Harbor near building roosts; conducting maintenance of long-term solar-powered bat acoustic detectors; and recording echolocation signals on small battery-powered dectors in a variety of habitats.
