Santa Cruz Island Reserve
03 Aug, 12 PM - 04 Aug, 02 PM
We are the multi-institutional-tribal LA Landscape History Project (aka LALAH), mapping the historical, indigenous ecology of Southern California. We have been mapping the Indigenous Landscapes and Potential Natural Vegetation (PNV) for the mainland over the last 6 years and are now turning our attention to the Islands.
We intend to conduct an in-situ reconnoiter for the mapping of natural watersheds and pre-hispanic places/placenames, roads, and pathways on Santa Cruz Island to continue this project.
