The Field Studies Collaborative (FSC) program is expanding to several other high schools in San Luis Obispo county! These schools will be visiting numerous other sites, many of which are UC Reserves where students and their teachers will be conducting research. We would like to bring a small delegation of 2 students and two teachers from 6 different schools to SCI this spring (April 18-22), along with a small contingent of FSC veteran teachers from Paso HIgh School. The total number of people on this trip will be 30. The purpose of this trip is to show these folks how we operate our FSC courses, and to give them a sense of what an FSC trip is like. Our hope is that they will be inspired to adopt an FSC project of their own (at some other site than SCI), and bring this wonderful experience to lots of students!
