The purpose of the Bren PhD retreat is to welcome new students and build community among all PhD students, faculty, and staff. We plan to hike and explore around the reserve, go on other hikes nearby, cook and eat meals together at the station, and do group activities to get to know one another. A big focus of our retreat is to create a supportive environment for incoming students and build a strong community among the PhD students, faculty, and staff at the Bren School.
