As part of the evaluation of the success of the San Dieguito Wetlands Restoration project, we will be conducting our annual fish and invertebrate surveys for several days in the CSMR, as this is a reference site for the restoration project. This is part of a long term data set for judging the success of the restoration wetland and whether it is within compliance for the target restoration goals. Fish surveys will be conducted across 12 preexisting sites using seines and blocking nets, along with enclosure traps and BINCKE nets for sampling smaller gobies that are not effectively sampled using larger blocking seines. In addition, invertebrates at these 12 locations will be sampled using large and small core sieved through a fine mesh.
