This is for continuation of SONGS monitoring for the long term restoration of the San Dieguito Lagoon. Bird surveys are conducted routinely in Winter, Spring and Fall months to collect data from reference sites to evaluate the success of the restoration project. Upcoming fall surveys are required to generate data on bird species richness and abundance. Members of research team (2) will conduct surveys from the road using binoculars from predetermined plots to collect data on species richness and abundance.
