I plan on collecting sediments from different depths (< 6 in. beneath surface ) in order to isolate the bacteria/archaea residing within the environment. I plan on collecting brackish to hypersaline brines from the intertidal zones and pools that salt over during summers. I will be collecting sediment within 15 mL Falcon tubes and fluids within 50 mL Falcon tubes.
