The purpose of the field trip is to tour the Carpinteria salt marsh, which has also been the site of field campaigns to support aerial campaigns (eg NASA JPL Shift campaign). The members of the tour include ECOSTRESS science team members, that use satellite-based thermal imagery to characterize land surface temperature, plant health and plant water use.
