Our student organization hopes to access the NRS portions of Carpinteria Salt Marsh for birding. We would stay to established roads and would not enter any portion of the saltmarsh. Usually, our field trips have between 5 and 15 attendees. We usually carry a few spotting scopes, which we would only set up on developed surfaces like roads, road shoulders, or trails. We are especially interested to listen for the listed Belding's savannah sparrow.
