The field team, in consultation with the Reserve Director, will select a location for a permanent soil pit at Granite Cove. Student research assistants on this project will assist with digging this pit, installing a cover, completing a full field description, and collecting soil samples for a full characterization, including assessment of inorganic carbon accumulation in these granitic soils.
