We will hold an in person Conservation Leadership Immersion where Scholars will participate in professional training on leadership, communications, and field science with diverse, leading conservation scientists and practitioners. This period will align their knowledge as rising college seniors already studying conservation across social and natural sciences with development of leadership skills, exposure to conservation across sectors, and a focus on high-impact conservation outcomes. Core faculty and diverse guest lecturers will contribute from across conservation sectors (non-governmental organizations, government, tribes, research, private sector) and different approaches to conservation action (science, policy, grassroots action) to expose students to innovation that advances effective, inclusive conservation.
