Spend 2 weeks with upper division undergraduate college students. We will hike, survey the streams, and conduct group and independent projects focused on the ecology of the Big Creek area. The schedule and activities will be very similar as what we have done in past years. We conduct the following general studies: Sea Otter survey along Highway 1 from Esalen to Big Creek, conduct a stream mapping and steelhead census along the lower reaches of Middle big Creek, Middle Devils Creek, and Lower Big Creek, and conduct a plant community analysis in three plant communities.
