I plan to sample up to 80 salamanders (Batrachoseps luciae) using catch and release methods, swabbing for the presence of the fungal pathogen Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis. I will also perform up to 20 behavioral assays. Each assay requires 2 salamanders to be placed in a container for 1 hour, then released at their original collection site.
