This trip is meant to give a group of high school students an in depth look at the interface between the central California Terrestrial and Marine environments. These students will be spending the academic year studying basic marine ecology and designing and executing small projects in the Monterey Bay rocky intertidal. The Big Creek experience is intended to give them a broader view of marine/terrestrial connectivity by focusing specifically on steelhead populations and habitat use requirements.
