Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve
11 Nov, 04 PM - 13 Nov, 02 PM
ARC integrates outdoor adventure with literacy experiences for high school youth. Twelve to fourteen students from Dos Palos High School (Merced County) and Tahoe/Truckee will visit the Reserve, hike the interpretive trail, and participate in three writing workshops. Students will also learn the basic skills of camping.
Adventure Risk Challenge proposes a visit November 11-13th to camp, hike the Reserve's trails (most likely the interpretive loop), and write personal, reflective poetry. Poet and performer, Michael Dominquez, will lead students in three writing workshops, and ARC Outreach Coordinator, Aaron DiMartino, will lead the hiking adventure.
