Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve
03 Dec, 10 AM - 04 Dec, 03 PM
This trip is meant to introduce the incoming students to the Marine Ecology research program to the environment they will be studying for the next three years. Specific focus will be on looking at populations of juvenile steelhead within the Creek, their location, behavior, and probably feeding ecology. We plan to snorkel in the lower creek and make behavioral observations, and set insect traps. The main activity is to model hypothesis generation and experimental design around steelhead behavior and food availbility. We will be working with Dr Tommy Williams during these activities.
