During this annual visit, all tagged trees are examined to see if there are any changes (breakage, crown damage, dead tops, snapped, fallen, dead standing, etc.), and any changes are noted and measured. In addition, small trees are checked to see if they have grown into the population (> 5 cm DBH). If so, they are tagged, mapped, and completely measured. Any new logs > 30 cm in diameter, either from trees within the plot or those from outside, are added to the maps and measured.
