This event provides an opportunity for the UCSC Scuba Club to learn about and identify the different flora and fauna of Big Creek, especially various kelp species. The participants may also learn about the entire route of a watershed  from source to destination. The Divemasters will be leading this event as part of their scuba leadership course. We hope to do a skin and scuba dive during our 3-day stay. This outing is a tie-in to our overall goal of comparing and contrasting different dive sites along the California coast with the mission to promote awareness, education, and conservation.
