Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

23 Aug, 12 PM - 26 Aug, 05 PM

We plan to conduct observational scuba surveys (inverts, algae, and fish) along the subtidal cable that sits within Big Creek's marine reserve. Additionally, I have built some bottom-mounted pressure sensors (OWHL) that can be used to measure wave energy. I would like to deploy some OWHL units along the Big Creek cable to more accurately measure the hydrodynamics experienced across the cove. When collecting our previous dataset years ago, we used URSKIs to measure water motion along the cable. URSKIs collect very crude measurements that were only relevant relative to one another. Measurements from my OWHL instruments would vastly improve the quality and applicability of our hydrodynamic data for the Big Creek Cable.
