This request is to support the sophomore MER Program students. Primary activities at the reserve will be fish behavior observations in the lower creek, and fish diet studies (in conjunction with T. Williams of NOAA). Tommy may be placing insect traps in the stream as part of other work, and we may try to use the Reserve insect ID resources to look at food availability. Being at the Big Creek Reserve allows me to start the program able to talk about the interface of terrestrial and marine environments in a place where those ecosystems are so tightly coupled.
