Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve

11 Apr, 02 PM - 10 May, 11 AM

We viewed the Regents slide this week with Caltrans and reps from the consulting firm (SWCA) that have hired us to assess the black ab situation. We have been given the green light to survey a small rocky section north/outside the slide footprint for abs with a couple people from SWCA consulting firm. Caltrans wants this done as soon as possible so we are trying to schedule it for next Saturday 4/13. We plan to enter the reserve from the south, stay at Whale Point Cabin Friday 4/12/24 and hike down the switchbacks for the morning low tide on Saturday 4/13/24 to access the approved rocky section north of the slide footprint for black abalone surveys and intertidal drone flight. We will notify the reserve of any changes or modifications to this plan. Karah Cox-Ammann is coordinating this work with SWCA consultants and will be the best contact for any questions.
