Team members will be setting up a Malaise trap with five pitfall traps at a site recommended by reserve staff on Saturday May 24th. Water from the site's freshwater pond will be filtered to collect eDNA with all water returned immediately. Soil will be collected for eDNA analyses from around the pond. If possible, 2 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted to collect invertebrates. The team will leave the reserve and return the following day to collect the traps.
