Malaise and pitfall traps will be set up near the field station. Soil from the pitfall traps (~1L) will be collected for eDNA purposes. If possible, 2 - 3 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted to collected invertebrates. If there is sufficient water at the spring (enough to filter ~2L water), water will be filtered for eDNA before being returned to the site immediately.
