Angelo Coast Range Reserve

03 May, 12 PM - 04 May, 12 PM

We want to catch a total of 200 western fence lizards (Sceloporus occidentalis) to test them for two novel tickborne bacteria, Rickettsia phylotype G022 and Rickettsia tillamookensis. This will be mainly hand a noose capture of lizards. We will be taking only tissue samples, a 2mm tail clip from each individual. We want to stay for up to one week to do the majority of our specimen collection here at Angelo because of it's abundance of wildlife and location in rural Mendocino county.
