Team members will be setting up Malaise and pitfall traps near the South Meadow Weather Station upon arrival on June 20th. These traps will be collected on the morning of June 22nd. Soil will be collected from the pitfall trap holes for eDNA purposes. Water from the Eel River will be filtered to collect eDNA, with all water returned to the site immediately. We will also collect aquatic invertebrates from the river following the statewide SWAMP protocol. If possible, 2 - 3 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted for invertebrates.
