The Energy and Resources Group at UC Berkeley hosts an annual retreat for incoming and returning graduate students. The annual retreat is a dedicated time for graduate students to connect with colleagues, share about out research and academic pathways, and collectively plan for future collaborations and projects. The retreat consists of shared mealtime, organized activities such as hiking and swimming trips, and dedicated time throughout the day to discuss in small groups and as a full group. We will arrive on Friday afternoon (9/26) and spend the evening cooking and catching up with colleagues. There will be an organized bonding activity with the full group after dinner. Saturday (9/27) will consist of a variety of activities for individuals to choose from: there will be an organized hike off-site and an organized swimming trip off-site. The evening will consist of an organized activity for small groups to share and discuss their research achievements and aims for the upcoming year. We will depart on Sunday (9/28) morning.
