Hastings Natural History Reservation

This visit is a working retreat for a group of UCSC Humanities PhD students whose work combines creative writing and critical scholarship. Some of us are working on projects tied closely to issues of landscape and environmental concerns. We (6 of us) will be working on dissertation writing each day (two sessions per day, 9am-12pm; 2-5pm) and then convening in the evenings to share and discuss our writing. We come from disciplines across the Humanities (Literature, Art History, Philosophy) and we would love the opportunity to write and share work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative setting.
