On this trip, we would like to measure environmental variables around fern sporophytes and gametophytes (temperature, relative humidity, light levels, aspect, soil slope). If possible, we would also like to collect small amounts of soil (approx. 1/4 cup in 20 locations = 5 cups total) to measure soil water potential.
