I plan to collect seeds from 20 maternal plants of Stipa pulchra and several other widespread native and exotic flowering plant species. Species collected will depend upon which species have set seed at the time of this sampling trip; this will be discussed with the reserve manager prior to arrival. Where possible, seeds will be collected from maternal plants in flat areas or south-facing slopes. Only seeds / seed heads will be removed, with the remainder of the plant being left in place. In addition, this visit is intended for scouting purposes to identify where species cluster and get a general sense of the community composition at this site in preparation for later collections.
