Set up a collection of telescope mounts across an area of a few hundred meters in north-south length and about 30 m in width. Each telescope mount holds four 18 inch convex mirrors that are pointed toward the sky to reflect the sun toward the Landsat 8 satellite. Landsat 8 passes over the site at about 11AM. The plan is to set up and take down the targets on the same day.
Methods Study Area: The large grassy area near the main buildings that is frequently used for parking at major events would work well for the test site. If that is not available, another possibility would be to set up the targets near the telescope. We are open to other possible test sites suggested by the Reserve.
