Sedgwick Reserve
20 Jun, 03 PM - 22 Jun, 08 AM
As part of the Student Airborne Research Program (SARP) I will be leading 8 students and one TA in field activities at Sedgwick Ranch. My intent is to have the students remeasure the fixed transects established for Geography 175. In addition to measurements for species composition, cover and albedo, students will measure temperature with a FLIR and measure plant spectra using an field spectrometry. I will likely also lead students on a short field trip to familiarize them with the vegetation, since some students will likely opt to map plant dominance using the imaging spectrometry data to be acquired at the same time by NASA.
