I will catalogue and sample all co-occurring vascular plant species within ten haphazardly placed 100 square meter quadrats. Approximately 20 leaves (trees/shrubs) or 3-5 shoots (herbaceous plants) will be sampled from one individual of every vascular plant species. My collection procedure will aim to minimize plant damage to trees and shrubs by solely collecting foliar tissues without damage to branches. Pruning shears and pole saws will be sanitized with 70% ethanol between each cutting to prevent microorganism transfer among plant individuals. No biological additions or manipulations are planned for any of our survey plots. We will not transport any non-native plant species into the reserve.
