Continuing a process we started last winter, we would like to bring a group of UCLA undergraduate students up to visit our ongoing experiment and to aid us in collecting environmental data from our experimental plots. The students will use small soil samples form each plot culture microbial communities in lab at UCLA and will sequence microbial DNA extracted from the soils to quantify changes in microbial composition across our plots. The data will be used in our ongoing research and also for student projects in the course. We did a similar trip in January of this year.
