EDC will take advantage of the facilities (likely the Tipton Meeting House) for a full day of strategic planning. For this one-day full board/staff retreat, we will be evaluating our progress toward our goals across multiple issue areas, and reviewing our existing case load, while we identify opportunities for additional public interest cases for 2019. EDCs mission is to protect and enhance our local environment through education, advocacy and legal action, and each of the projects we undertake impact our environment in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. This annual retreat allows our board and staff to review how our activities are meeting our communities needs and to plan for the coming year.
