I plan to scout Figueroa Creek for sampling sites and start collecting plant and soil samples as my background samples. I also plan on setting up a rain gauge and fog collector. The rain gauge is necessary because apart from the rainfall amount we are more interested in collecting the rainfall sample itself which is not possible with the current weather station.
