I plan to collect mated queens from V. andrei colonies up on the mesa. On this trip I will train Kate and the docent family on how to collect these queens. We will be collecting queens from colonies located up on the mesa (north of the observatory). We will go up to the mesa Thursday evening and Friday morning and I will teach them what mated queens looks like, where to find them, and how to handle/collect them.
