I am studying the effects of Wildfire on Soil Organic matter in different parts of the reserve. I sampled in the TREX sites after the November burns but would like to sample nearby in order to get non-burned comparison. The sampling is focused on the top 1 cm of soil so minimally destructive. My target areas are hill slopes close to the TREX sites. If possible I would like to get there tomorrow morning to avoid getting rained out and possibly have a period of time when roads are closed.
