Sedgwick Reserve

10 May, 06 AM - 10 May, 01 PM

Conduct point counts of birds at sites were AudioMoth recorders were deployed previously. These will be used to build models for bird presence or density based on the audio data. We have already deployed some AudioMoth audio recording devices at 29 sites across the reserve. To help with later analysis of the data, I'd like to conduct some stationary, 5-minute point counts at 8 of the 29 sites (4 in burned areas, 4 in unburned areas). I will record all the birds seen during the count and approximate distances to the birds. No additional equipment would be installed or removed and no playback or interference with vegetation or natural resources would be conducted.
