Malaise and pitfall traps will be set up along the portion of the creek near the Tower 1 weather station on August 27th. Soil from the pitfall traps (~1L) will be collected for eDNA purposes. If possible, 2 - 3 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted to collected invertebrates. Up to 2L of water will be filtered from the creek for eDNA, with all water returned immediately. If conditions allow, we will also collect aquatic invertebrates from the creek following the statewide SWAMP protocol. We will leave the site and return to collect the traps on the 29th.
