We are aiming to collect or Scaptomyza flies (S. flava, S. montana, S. apicata, and S. pallida) from mustard plants (Barbarea orthoceras) to use towards the aims identified in our project description. We are unsure if the flies can be found at Sagehen Reserve, so this first trip is mostly an exploratory trip to see if the host plants are found at this time of year and where, and if any flies can be found in these plants. If they are there, we may collect some adults and larvae.
