The prescribed fire monitoring crew will be collecting ecological data related to the effects of prescribed fire on plant communities and forest structure throughout the Sierras in CA. The crew will collect data before and after prescribed fire events. The exact locations are to be determined, but past sites have included Burton SP, Bliss SP, French Meadows reserve, SPI land, and Inyo NF. Data will be collected using common stand exam protocol. As sagehen is in a central location to all of our field sites, we hope to use this reserve as a base camp to organize, enter, and analyse data. It would be great to be involved with any burning on site if applicable!
