In 2016, TNC mapped and classified vegetation cover for ~380,000 acres in the Truckee Watershed as part of a LCF project to look at the intersection of wildfire, fuels management, and water resource protection. TNC will be remapping and updating models from the 2016 project as well as adding in other conservation objectives, such as fish and sensitive species habitat, as well as incorporating social acceptance of fuels management within the region. We are looking for access to Sagehen in order to classify the potential areas of change as well as map the Sagehen Creek channel for a fish habitat model.
