Sagehen Creek Field Station

We are teaching GEOL 397, Advanced Field Methods for the CSU East Bay Earth & Environmental Sciences. Students will learn methods and data analysis for evaluation of water flows and water quality in the field. Students will use field equipment including surveying equipment, flow meters, infiltrometer, water and sediment samplers, water quality meters. Subsequently, students will use GIS and other software to analyze, display, and integrate data; analyze water samples in the lab at CSUEB for radon and stable isotopes; analyze sediment in the lab at CSUEB for size distribution.
