This is an extension of the junior high camp for high schoolers. This is a UC Davis nature-based camp for high school students. It is developed by the Museum of Wildlife and Fish Biology and the Bohart Museum of Entomology and administered through UC Davis Campus Recreation Youth Programs. The goal is to give the students a behind the scenes look at UC Davis Research and to expose them to the scientific techniques and organisms that are investigated on or near Tahoe. They would be setting up mini-projects (mostly observational). We would like permission to use a blacklight for collecting insects through the nights. We would also be setting up insect collecting with malaise traps and pit fall traps. For vertebrates we would be bird and mammal watching.
